THE POSITION
Performing basic and standard network administration including account creation and maintenance, workgroup and/or
domain permissions, system monitoring, security tracking, and user support
Creating and maintaining user accounts for network access
Providing users security access and permissions to workgroups or domains as instructed by network manager or team leader
Maintaining familiarity with network protocols and tracking access as needed
Conducting system backups and standard preventative maintenance for network systems
Responding to and resolving connectivity problems for users, and referring more complex problems to Level II Administrator when appropriate
Configuring network printers and print servers
Communicating effectively with management, team leader, and team members
Developing and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and improving customer relations
Instructing users in use of equipment
Occasionally assisting in installation of communications hardware or performing other complex duties as part of training and development
Occasionally performing minor equipment repairs
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical institution and one year of related experience
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
A+ and OEM equipment certifications preferred
CNA or MCP (including Networking Essentials) preferred
